The Global SDG Synthesis Coalition will launch its Peace Pillar synthesis, Preventing violence, saving lives: What works for reducing homicides and conflict-related deaths?—the first global review of evaluative evidence on how to advance SDG 16. Drawing on impact evaluations alongside performance and process evidence, the synthesis highlights what works, how and why across social inclusion, peace processes and safe environments to reduce violence and strengthen peaceful societies. The virtual event will bring together senior leaders from across the UN system and partner institutions to connect rigorous evidence with real-world policy and programming decisions in peacebuilding, governance and violence prevention.
